Ingredients:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 Tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
- 2 cups cooked cubed chicken
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 1 Tablespoon chopped onion
- 8 ounces canned Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls
- 3/4 cup seasoned croutons, crushed
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In medium bowl blend cream cheese and 2 Tbsp butter until smooth. Add chicken, salt, pepper, milk and onion and mix well.
- Separated dough into 4 rectangles, firmly pressing perforations to seal. Spoon 1/4 of meat mixture into center of each rectangle of dough. Pull 4 corners of dough together and seal edges.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet, brush tops with 1 Tablespoon butter and sprinkle with crouton crumbs. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- I have had the best success with the Pillsbury crescent rolls...the generic brands don't have enough give and end up tearing/ripping.
