Chocolate Tarts

Ingredients:

  • 1 box generic devil's food cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small box chocolate pudding mix (4 serving size)
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 8 ounces cool whip
  • powdered sugar (optional)
  • strawberries, sliced (optional)
  • cooking spray
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Grease mini muffin tins with cooking spray.
  2. Mix cake mix, butter, and egg together. Mixture should be crumbly. Mash into mini muffin tin 1/2 full.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, remove from oven, make indent (soda bottle top works well), and let cool for 15 minutes.
  4. In medium bowl, whisk together pudding mix, half & half, and cool whip.
  5. Transfer into zip-lock bag, cut small hole in corner, and squeeze into tarts.
  6. Store airtight in fridge. Just before serving, sift powdered sugar over top. Also, you can top with a slice of strawberry.

My Notes:
  • I have used regular milk instead of half & half and it turns out great.
