Scotcheroos

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups rice krispies cereal
  • 6 ounces (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • cooking spray

Directions:

  1. Grease 9"x13" baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Measure cereal into large bowl.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together corn syrup and sugar, stirring frequently, until sugar has dissolved.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter.  Pour over cereal and blend well.
  5. Press mixture into baking dish.
  6. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together, stirring frequently.  Spread over cereal mixture and let set.
