French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • pinch salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
  • cooking spray

Directions:

  1. Slice french loaf into thick slices.
  2. Preheat griddle to 350 degrees or skillet to medium-high heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour and milk.  Add salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla and sugar and beat until well blended and fluffy.
  4. Grease griddle or skillet with cooking spray.
  5. Dip each french bread slice into egg mixture, then squeeze to remove excess liquid, then reshape.
  6. Place on griddle and let cook until browned, then flip and cook until browned again.
